Building Effective and Safe Immunity in Your Pet Without Vaccinations

Referencing my latest blog, "Three ways to immunize your pets"

"#1 Natural Exposure: This is an awesome way that you can create immunity in your pets safely. For example back in the day, remember chicken pox parties? Your parents would bring you to a "party" so you can get chicken pox from someone who had it and build your immunity from that. Some of the kids didn't always get chicken pox, some got it mild, and some had a full blown case. But regardless if they had it or not they were exposed and depending on how strong their immune system was, determined how bad they got it, how quickly they recovered, and if they got it at all.

The key to natural exposure is doing it SLOW. You have to give your immune system time to recognize the virus, process it, create antibodies to it and then move forward from it. The dog can yes, get the virus and fight it and then create immunity, or recognize the virus, show no symptoms or mild symptoms and then create antibodies. This method can be scary for people. Why? Because many people don't know how to treat the disease, and their for have a scare, and a hefty vet bill. So majority of people choose to avoid this option.

This is actually my favorite and the one we choose to do personally. Why? Because I have been taught to not treat the disease but treat the symptoms. So I have all the emergency herbs, vitamins, supplements, etc that I would need on hand to treat the symptoms to help my dogs recover. I also try not to make decisions based off fear. So when I am fearless, this choice seems much easier. And so far has shown us great success."

How do I do slow exposure and what are the proper steps to take?

We have gathered some awesome information from Dr. Falconers course https://vitalanimal.com/smart-vaccine-alternatives/

Unlocking Natural Immunity in Puppies: A Unique Approach

In the quest to protect beloved puppies, there's always been a delicate balance between building their immunity and safeguarding their health. Traditional vaccinations have been the go-to solution, but what if there was a safer, more natural way to achieve immunity?

Dr. Rosemary Manziano, a visionary homeopathic practitioner embarked on a groundbreaking experiment in canine immunology.

The Early Days of Natural Immunity

Dr. Manziano's learned of a distemper outbreak in raccoons in her local area, information sourced by the CDC. Dogs and raccoons share the same distemper virus, a potentially lethal threat if left unchecked. Driven by a bold idea, she encouraged interested puppy owners to visit the vicinity where these affected raccoons lived. The protocol was simple yet unconventional:

  1. Open the car door.

  2. Allow the puppies to explore the area for five minutes, sniffing around bushes and perhaps even drinking from nearby water sources.

  3. Safely return the puppies to the car.

This process was repeated weekly for three weeks, with a titer test for distemper antibodies performed on the third week. Astonishingly, the results were nothing short of remarkable. The puppies displayed robust titers, signaling strong immunity. And, notably, not a single pup fell ill throughout the experiment. Dr. Manziano coined it "foolproof immunization."

A Natural Twist on Immunization

This natural immunization approach was a game-changer, however, after eleven years, the puppies stopped showing titers to distemper. Dr. Manziano surmised that the disease in raccoons had run its course, and natural resistance had developed, mirroring flow of nature's defenses.

However, Dr. Manziano was not one to rest on her laurels. She adapted the protocol to maintain its effectiveness. The updated approach was equally simple:

  1. Open the car door.

  2. Let the pup explore a dog park frequented by other dogs.

  3. Set a timer for five minutes.

  4. Once the timer elapsed, load up and head home.

As before, this was repeated weekly for two weeks, followed by titer testing on the third week. This time, both distemper and parvo titers were assessed, consistently demonstrating strong immunization without any puppy illnesses.

A Decade of Success

Over more than a decade, Dr. Manziano's work with healthy puppies and their impressive titers speaks volumes about what's possible for your young companions. It's a testament to safe and effective immunization without the typical risks associated with vaccinations.

A Refined Protocol Based on Solid Data

Dr. Falconer caught up with Dr. Manziano to discuss any protocol updates. Here's what we learned:

  1. The protocol now begins when puppies reach 12 weeks of age, ensuring their readiness for exposure. During this period, puppies aren't confined to sterile environments but are not introduced to high dog-traffic areas either. A balanced raw food diet is also recommended.

  2. Dr. Manziano now advises three consecutive weeks of exposure, still for five minutes each session.

  3. Titer testing for both parvo and distemper is conducted on the fourth week.

This refined protocol continues to offer a remarkable alternative for puppy immunization, built on a foundation of safety and sound data.

In a world where we prioritize our puppies' health and well-being, Dr. Manziano's approach shines as a beacon of hope, offering immunity without compromise.
